Town of Princeton: Public Works Building

After the 2021 flooding forced Princeton's public works yard to relocate to the town's industrial park, the Town needed a new building fast. MSC was brought in by Ledcor Construction Group to supply and erect a 9,800 sq. ft. public works building in Princeton, BC (during record-low cold temperatures).

Town of Princeton: Fire Hall

The Princeton Public Works relationship with Ledcor led directly to a second project. MSC returned to Princeton with Ledcor to build the town's new 5,900 sq. ft. fire hall, which was a more technically demanding build.

Under the National Building Code of Canada 2020, firehalls are classified as post-disaster buildings, meaning they must meet higher structural performance standards than standard commercial construction. This build included a post-disaster structural design, interior wash bay, custom hose tower, R-40 wall insulation with interior liner panel, R-50 ceiling insulation, solar-ready roof loading, and snow stops.

Upper Halfway River: Community Fire Hall

MSC recently completed a 5,600 sq. ft. custom firehall for the Upper Halfway River community in Northern BC, built with Tom's Construction out of Fort St. John using premium components from Canadian Metal Buildings.

Remote access, demanding specs, unforgiving terrain. MSC managed freight, logistics, and installation start to finish. Features included a 6-inch IMP standing seam roof, R-40 insulated wall system, unbraced wall columns for a clean interior finish, custom horizontal red cladding, wood-grain metal soffits, architectural stone veneer, roof snow guards, and ice stoppers.

District of Logan Lake: Heavy Equipment Shop

MSC supplied and installed a 2,400 sq. ft. steel building for the District of Logan Lake. This was a purpose-built shop for heavy equipment repair and storage.

District of Metchosin: Storage and Repair Shop

In 2006, the District of Metchosin asked MSC to travel to Victoria to construct a 1,444 sq. ft. storage and repair shop. At the time, MSC acted as general contractor, handling concrete, insulation, framing, and foundation work in addition to the steel structure. MSC no longer takes on the full GC role, but serving communities across the province (including Vancouver Island) has always been part of how they operate.

Thompson-Nicola Regional District: Seven Eco-Depot Transfer Stations

Over two years, MSC supplied and installed seven custom steel buildings totalling 49,600 sq. ft. for the Thompson-Nicola Regional District, Eco-Depots across four sites: Louis Creek, Clearwater, Pritchard, and Lower Nicola. MSC worked with three separate general contractors across the full span of the project.
