Metal Structure Concepts (MSC) recently completed a 5,600 sq. ft. pre-engineered steel building for the Upper Halfway River community—a custom firehall built in partnership with our longtime client, Tom’s Construction out of Fort St. John.

While the footprint may be modest, this project delivered big on detail. From remote access challenges to complex design features, this was the kind of job our team thrives on. Highlights include a 6-inch IMP standing seam roof, R-40 insulated wall system with interior liner panel, and unbraced wall columns for a smooth interior finish. The exterior features custom horizontal red cladding, maintenance-free wood-grain metal soffits, architectural stone veneer, functional roof snow guards, and ice stoppers.

Designed using premium components from Canadian Metal Buildings, this prefab steel building delivers long-term durability in a demanding location. The result is a clean, efficient, and reliable facility—exactly what you'd expect from a quality steel structure building.

From community-use firehalls to atmosphere-controlled structural steel buildings, MSC combines design expertise and installation efficiency to make projects like this possible, even in the toughest terrain.
