Big buildings call for big ideas. This 82' x 220' pre-engineered all-steel riding arena, located in Nelson, B.C., delivers more than 18,000 sq. ft. of purpose-built space designed around the client's vision. With a 20' eave height and gable design, the building provides the open, functional interior space needed for a large-scale riding facility.

The building was designed with details that make a difference. Inset side-wall girts save an additional 16 inches of floor space, maximizing the usable footprint, while 6-inch R-20 insulation in the roof and walls helps create a comfortable, year-round environment. A 24-gauge standing-seam Galvalume roof, 26-gauge finished steel walls, and galvanized secondary steel provide a durable exterior built for the B.C. climate.

Natural light comes in through 4' translucent panels along both side walls, while gutters, downspouts, and a full-length snow-bar retention system with ice stoppers add practical protection for the building through changing weather conditions. The package also includes framed openings for doors and windows, coloured jamb wraps, and a complete trim package.

With more than 18,000 square feet under one roof, this project is a great example of what pre-engineered steel can deliver when size, functionality, durability, and thoughtful design all come together.
