This 1,800 sq. ft. commercial building for Mountain Munchies – Enercheez shows that project value isn’t measured in square footage. Designed and built to support a growing food production business, the facility delivers the same level of care, coordination, and accountability MSC brings to its largest builds.

MSC worked closely with the business owner to deliver a purpose-built space that supports food production, office use, and day-to-day operations. Small building or large facility, the approach stays the same: build it right and build it to last.

Built for Production and Compliance

The building is being constructed as a dedicated production area for Enercheez, with integrated office space and support functions. Fire separation and insulation were carefully designed to meet safety requirements while maintaining energy efficiency and interior durability.

Two sides of the structure include 2-hour fire-rated firewalls, while the envelope is insulated to R-38 in the walls and R-50 at the ceiling. A full interior liner panel system protects the interior environment and supports long-term cleanliness and maintenance.

Seven windows and three man doors provide natural light, access, and operational flexibility without compromising performance.

Designed for Kootenay Conditions

A standing seam roof system was selected and paired with snow bars and ice stoppers to manage Nelson’s winter conditions. These details reduce maintenance risk and improve long-term reliability, especially important for small commercial operations.

The steel building package is supplied by Behlen, a trusted North American manufacturer, with MSC managing design coordination, supply, and installation to ensure every component works together as intended.
