This 57,600 sq. ft. hangar for De Havilland Field Inc. is one of MSC's largest commercial steel buildings currently underway in Alberta. Located in Wheatland County, the project called for a facility big enough, and precise enough, to handle aircraft operations, with a custom hangar doors engineered to match.

MSC is managing this build from the ground up, providing general contracting, design, supply, and installation under one accountable team. That single-source approach keeps the structure, envelope, and door systems all working together instead of being coordinated piecemeal across separate contractors.

The building package is supplied by Behlen/Ubuild, a trusted Canadian manufacturer MSC has worked with on projects across Western Canada. For the insulated metal panels, MSC brought in Falk, pairing a 6-inch insulated metal panel roof with 4-inch insulated metal panel walls to manage Alberta's temperature swings and keep the hangar performing year-round.

The custom hangar doors are one of the more technical pieces of this project, designed to fit the scale of the building while still operating smoothly for daily aircraft access.
