“We are continually working on the project at Grohman’s,” says MSC owner Steve Ivanitz. “We worked there last season and spent four months on site and built three buildings, including a steel warehouse building, all with custom finishes. We are currently on site for six months and expect to complete five more buildings by Christmas/winter.”

Pick a Part and Put it Together
Pre engineered metal buildings are different from normal on-site construction, as much of the work is done in the factory before installation. In the case of Grohman Mini Storage, pre engineered metal building supplier American Buildings Company fabricated the parts. Once the parts were ready, they were shipped to the site and installed immediately.
“All Grohman Mini Storage co-owner Dan Bayoff had to do was get the concrete work done and the MSC crew came in, read the plans, and started bolting and installing the pieces,” says Ivanitz.
Custom Fitted for all Your Storage Needs
For such commercial enterprises as metal shop buildings, metal garage buildings, along with storage buildings and steel warehouse buildings, a simple steel box just won’t do. Certain “embellishments” are required. For Grohman Mini Storage, those “embellishments” include a mix of different sized storage units – both mini storage and larger storage facilities that require columns and roof beams.
“We needed cranes, booms and man-lifts to install the buildings, with five-to-six crew members on site to do the work,” says Ivanitz.
The mini storage facility also features custom finishes such as heated units to protect people’s goods from cold winter weather.
“The units are over height than regular mini storage,” said Ivanitz. “We were targeting the general public in Nelson who need room to store their quads, dirt bikes, and other toys.”
With Phase 2 of the project almost completed, the owners of Grohman Mini Storage say they are already pleased with the results.
