My name is JP Vala from Oliver, BC. I started working with MSC about a year and a half ago on this custom steel building project. This is my personal custom hangar build: a 5,000-square-foot, two-bay hangar—2,500 square feet per bay—designed for general aviation, private use, and aircraft storage.

I chose MSC because working with Steve, his honesty and integrity were clear, and that matters to me as a local business owner. We pride ourselves on honesty and integrity, and prefer local support over outsourcing. MSC was very easy to work with. We completed the entire design in roughly a dozen to fifteen emails, which is, in my opinion, a low amount of communication for a project like this.

They coordinated well with the door manufacturer, Diamond Doors, and their engineers to plan, fit, and make the design work. It’s a bit different—most people don’t have a 50-foot-wide door on a steel building—but they handled it smoothly. Any changes were easy, and the team was very accommodating. Timelines were accurate from the moment we placed the order, even on a relatively short timeline. We were on schedule for delivery, and everything worked out really well.

I would absolutely recommend MSC to anyone building a hangar or a pre-engineered steel building for a warehouse.
