MSC is thrilled to return to its Prairie roots with its newest branch: the Alberta and Saskatchewan Division. Headed by co-owner Corey Ivanitz, the Alberta homecoming is where co-owners Corey and Steve’s grandfather, Sam Ivanitz, began the family’s steel building legacy over six decades ago.
Using his extensive hands-on field experience—from erecting pre-engineered steel buildings himself to running larger field crews—Corey oversees every project in the division to bring the dedicated office team, you, our designers, managers, and work crews together for success.
A member of the Alberta Metal Buildings Association, MSC is excited about the potential to help businesses thrive and innovate with metal buildings in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
At MSC, we specialize in designing and building a wide range of metal buildings for a variety of applications, including custom auto body shops, indoor riding arenas, sports complexes, and industrial agriculture buildings with climate-controlled metal warehouses for food storage or farm equipment.
Our expertise extends to commercial buildings and industrial power buildings, mining, and oil and gas steel buildings. From top to bottom, MSC can handle any project in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and beyond.

Frequently Asked Questions
Structural steel buildings, also known as conventional steel, are constructed onsite using a blend of materials (steel, wood, masonry etc). They provide more flexibility in build for complex designs.
Pre-engineered steel buildings are fabricated as a kit off-site and then erected on site. They are more cost-effective, easy to maintain and simpler to build.
A typical building comes with 9-inch insulation in the roof (R30 value) and 6 inches in walls (R20), however, we can customize a design to suit your specific needs. We also specialize in insulated metal panels (aka sandwich panels) to meet today’s stringent energy codes.
Yes, a pre-engineered steel building is the most cost-effective building type to support the weight of a crane indoors. In more complex builds, structural steel may be the better option. The third option is a precast building. The likes of wood and block buildings are expensive in design for the support needed.
